What happens when you have an event scheduled for an around the clock plant and they end up having inspections scheduled over those dates? Well, you have Holiday celebrations in January instead!
When we first started conversations about this awesome show of gratitude Kings Hawaiian (yes, the bread) annually does for their employees the event was in December. As we got closer we had to move the date, but kept the theme because, why not??!?
So, we had a little holiday in January and everyone seemed to enjoy the sense of family, the decor, and the wonderful food by Lori and her team at Cucina Milano. On the menu: Turkey, Ham, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, green beans, gravy, cranberry sauce, and of course, Hawaiian Rolls with regular butter and the very popular cinnamon butter.
We fed about 650 in 2 days and 8 different shifts, late nights, early mornings, full belly’s, and lots of smiles. Kings Hawaiian management and supervisors served their team members as the team members got to relax a bit. Such an awesome, respectful, team building concept!
Southern Grace planned, coordinated, provided most of the rentals, and did the decor. The KH plant doesn’t allow fresh florals so all the centerpieces are faux. Birch containers with greenery and naturals set inside beautiful greenery wreaths. All decor enhanced by the burgundy and gold satin overlays. The room was enhanced by the fireplace screens and the snowflakes on the wall, which tied in to the threatening snow storm. Which thankfully never arrived!
